The Murray River is Australia’s longest river, at 2,700 kilometres in length. It is also the principal river of Australia. The river is named after Colonial Secretary Sir George Murray.
Murray River is home to magnificent forests, sandy beaches, unique Aboriginal culture, and scenic views. This place shelters plentiful wildlife, supporting over 350 varieties of birds, as well as many species of mammals, reptiles and fish.
