The Mallee Country, or known simply as ‘Mallee’, is located entirely within the Loddon Mallee region, and covers the most northwesterly district in the state bounded by the South Australian and New South Wales borders. It is a unique region of South Australia and Victoria. 

The name ‘Mallee’ is from the Victorian distribution of mallee eucalypts. These trees dominate the surviving vegetation through most of Mallee, except for swamps, and areas along waterways. The climate in Mallee is very hot, making it nearly impossible to have rainy days. 

Mallee is the perfect place to go to understand and learn about the pioneering heritage in Australia and it’s farming importance in both states. An ideal destination for an educational tour for organisations related to food production and farming industries.
