BURNIE/WYNYARD TEAM BUILDING
Burnie, nestled around Emu Bay on the Bass Strait, is a vibrant and creative city on a beautiful stretch of Tasmania’s north-west coast. It is just 47 kilometres west of Devonport and a 30-minute drive. It’s nearly 150 kilometres from Launceston and a 1.5-hour drive. Burnie has been an industrial centre for a long time and since the closure of its paper pulp mill, the industrial history of Burnie and the surrounding north-west region can be explored at the Burnie Regional Museum where you can wander around the Federation street replica.
Take a beachside and downtown stroll with the group and delight yourself in boutiques and diners serving fresh coffee, seafood and local produce. Burnie is also famous for its award-winning cheese and whisky distillery.
Wynyard is a relaxed, beautiful town on Tasmania’s northwest coast. You’ll find it just 17 kilometres west of Burnie along the absolutely stunning Bass Highway. It is a 45-min drive (60 km) west of Devonport.
It is a popular holiday spot for beach activities, ocean and river fishing, and lazy drives through picturesque landscapes. The local beaches are great for swimming, fishing, kayaking and waterside walks that everyone in your group will love.
There are plenty of places to stay in town and scenic drives east and west of Burnie and Wynyard, thus making these two places ideal destinations for group retreats and organisation team building programs.
